FEES FOR DAKOTA BIRDING SERVICES
Advanced scouting for target birds by Dakota Birding and route planning for visitors helps result in a satisfactory and jam-packed day of birding. As one satisfied customer told me, “I’ve birded for 38 years, and this has been the best of all!” While Dakota Birding can’t guarantee the wildlife will cooperate, they often do!
Day Rates: 10 hour day from when I leave to meet you or to pick you up. You may plan on staying in Valley City or nearby Jamestown depending on where your target birds are and to save you drive time. Dakota Birding will discuss the plans with you beforehand so you are informed about how the day will go. Half days can be arranged if time or endurance is limited! Brief walking on uneven ground, viewing from a roadside location or crossing an occasional fence is the usual activity level.
Transportation Options: Some people drive rented vehicles and choose to drive that vehicle or Dakota Birding can provide a van. Some people fly into Fargo, Jamestown or Bismarck and rent a car or Dakota Birding can pick you up at the airport.
Day fee for 10 hours - $225 (no extra mileage fee) for 2 persons. (Half-days can be arranged, plus mileage at $0.25/mile.) Typical distances covered may be 25-200 miles in a day. Target locations may be many miles apart.
Additional persons = $25 per person per day.
CONTRACTED SERVICES FOR DAKOTA BIRDING: Reserve your dates and send 1/3 deposit
After communication by email and/or telephone, Dakota Birding will send you an email contract for you to review, sign and return in the postal mail with a 1/3 deposit for contracted services. Receipt of the deposit will reserve your dates for birding services.
