Meals / Mileage

For individual birders:  Meals: Picnic on the Prairie: visitors feel most comfortable bringing their own favorite meals and snacks in small coolers, or Dakota Birding will provide coolers. We are often not close to urban areas so bringing food and beverages is more efficient than searching out a restaurant at meal time.

Mileage: There is no extra mileage fee added to the day rates . We will probably cover 150 miles or more in a day.  Dakota Birding can meet you in whichever part of the state is most appropriate.  Day rates will take into account how far from Valley City your target area is.  Contact me for more information-gas prices are going up!

Weather

Weather is a factor that may interfere with plans and schedules. Weather must be worked around for the safety of birdwatchers and Dakota Birding service. In case of inclement weather or impassible conditions created by weather, delays or changes may occur.
